Azaria

EDA

She came from Mount Isa and to Ayers Rock she went
With the other children asleep in the tent

Her parents weren’t around  but when they got back
Their baby was a missing, gone down the dingo track

And her name it was a ........ A,     Z,     A,     R,    I,     A,
Azaria!  A.Z.A.R.I.A  Azaria!

Her mother said it was  a dingo that took her child away
So for her lost daughter to God she would now pray

The Aboriginal Trackers to the ground were bent
They found large dingo tracks leading way from the tent

With drag marks!
The drag marks of a .........
A,     Z,     A,     R,    I,     A,
Azaria!  A.Z.A.R.I.A  Azaria!

So a search was organised  to scour the country side
Looking for her tiny body for days and days they tried

They found her clothing  all bloodied and torn
But forensic experts said it wasn’t done by dingo paw

No matter where they looked
nor how many bushes cut
They could find her body not in ground or dingo gut

The evidence was a paradox, amystery to us all
How could she disappear? Yeah how far could she crawl?

Start crawlin’........... A,     Z,     A,     R,    I,     A,
Azaria!  A.Z.A.R.I.A  Azaria!

Well you’ve heard of Kipling’s Mowgli and Romulus and Remus too
Some say it’s but a story but I believe it’s true

And old bushman said he saw, one day in the outback
A little girl on all fours, running with a dingo pack

Run with the dingoes ....... A,     Z,     A,     R,    I,     A,
Azaria!  A.Z.A.R.I.A  Azaria!
